Thought this daily devotional from Richard Rohr was great. So I figured I’d post it.
A Christian is someone who’s animated by the spirit of Christ, a person in whom the spirit of Christ can work. That doesn’t always mean that you consciously know what you are doing.
As it states in Matthew 25, “When have we seen you hungry? When have we seen you thirsty?” We may have no idea that we do what we do for Christ. But Christ said: “Because you did it, you did it for me.”
It never depends upon whether we say the right words, but whether we live the right reality.

That’s right, I’ve decided to grow a mustache for the month of November. And yes, I am doing all that fund raising for prostate cancer as well. See below. I plan on trying a few different styles throughout the month. I’ll post some pics when I have them. In the mean time, check out my MoSpace.
Here’s the stuff:
This Movember, the month formerly known as November I’ve decided to donate my face to raising awareness about prostate cancer. My donation and commitment is the growth of a moustache for the entire month of Movember, which I know will generate conversation, controversy and laughter.

Thank you in advance for helping me to support men’s health.
Today, my good buddy Aaron Helleman is registering at city hall for his candidacy for city counselor of Kanata South. Check out his webpage. So far our deal is I pay no property taxes for being on his campaign team. I’m still working on free Hydro. I may need to wear a button for 4 months, so…. weighing the costs on that one. Kidding aside, I think Aaron would make a great counselor and I look forward to being on his campaign team. This is my first time being on a campaign team, so I’m excited to see how it works and to be part of it.
We are having his campaign kick off this coming Saturday, May 1st, at 11:00am at the Lion Dick Brule Community Centre, 170 Castlefrank Road.
Hope I see you there!
Who is Tiger Woods. Ever seen the movie Me, Myself and Irene? I think we have a perfect case of it. There is Tiger Woods the golfer, stand up gentleman, wife and 2 kids. Then there’s Tiger Woods male gigalo. And now we have Tiger Woods budhist monk. wtf? It seems like we have a classic case of multiple personalities. Clearly we have a battle of wills here. And clearly the gigalo is winning. You’d think the other 2 personalities could over come the gigalo. But maybe his mojo is just too strong.
If you know me, you will know that I respected Tiger as a golfer. But I just seemed to get a sense that something was wrong. Well, now we know what it is. He’s a cheater. I appreciate what he has done for the game of golf. And I recognize he is probably the best golfer of all time. But he lost my respect as a person. Now he needs to regain that respect. And I hope he does.
My advice Tiger? stick to golf.
